Red Rock

Red chip gives a warm welcoming feeling to your home or business. The rich colour of McCallum’s red chip suits most colour schemes and landscaping products. It provides dynamic contrast to lighter colours and compliments darker tones. McCallum Bros Limited® chip is a proven durable product that has been used for asphalt surfacing since the early 1900’s.

Red chip is an integral part of many Auckland landmarks, from central city buildings to walkways in the region’s parks.

Red Rock is exceptionally strong and offers excellent abrasion resistance.

The aggregate comes from McCallum’s Karamuramu Island Quarry situated in the Hauraki Gulf which is composed entirely of the stone chert or jasper.

Mike Haynes (Operations Manager) recently received the Trimble Outstanding Employee award for quarrying. The award was presented by Bruce Warner, Regional Manager Asia and Pacific for Trimble Loadrite.

Red Rock aggregates are sampled and batch tested on a regular basis and source property measures are taken annually.
