Adding shell to concrete can give the finished surface added interest or lighten the established surface. Shell concrete can also be used to help give a maritime or seashore atmosphere.
Our three grades of shell can provide a different look to the finished concrete from a finer shell mix to coarse shell mix that has whole shells included.
If greater impact from the shell is desired larger shell can be applied to the surface of the wet concrete and then set in place through screeding.
Shell can be combined with a variety of aggregates and other materials including McCallum’s red stone, other coloured stone or pebble, and glass products to produce the desired effect.
